My UX Review of WEBTOON

One of the most valuable aspects of UX (user experience) design is being able to evaluate how easy an app is to use based on certain criteria. The app I will be evaluating is WEBTOON. The reason I’m interested in this app is to explore the fun way to read and give credit to the comic creator.

One way we evaluate a product, app, or service in UX is through something called Heuristics. There are 10 main heuristics, and I’ll be covering Minimalist Aesthetics, Flexibility and Consistency.

The first Heuristic I’ll be using is Minimalist Aesthetics. This heuristic has to do with Use icons instead of words. One example of this heuristic is A app cover like netflix .

With WEBTOON, they make it look high tech with their minimal design. They do a good job of using this heuristic because you get to see the art behind the name .

The second Heuristic I’ll be using is Flexibility. This heuristic has to do with Make advanced features. One example of this heuristic is you can get in dark mode or in a different text.

With WEBTOON, you can read the comic in a better light if its day or night. They do a good job of using this heuristic because you can get the full experience .

The third Heuristic I’ll be using is Consistency. This heuristic has to do with making it easier to learn. One example of this heuristic is that everything you see easier to reach and click on.

With WEBTOON, it make things easy to do on a daily bases. They do a good job of using this heuristic because you can see the buttons with easy.

Overall, I would give the app a 5 score based on how simple and easy the heuristics are.

Hopefully, you can get a sense of how valuable the UX process is. Leave comments about with any questions or ideas you might have.
